Alawin Mobile App – How I Solved the First Launch Problem (Video)

The mobile experience at Alawin is one that improves significantly after you get past the first interaction with the PWA. That opening moment is the issue worth discussing, because it is the moment a new player will remember. Everything after it is actually pretty good. Here is the full picture.

Installation: Completed Without Problems

Adding the Alawin PWA to my iPhone home screen went smoothly. Through Safari’s share menu and the Add to Home Screen option, the icon appeared on my home screen correctly and the process completed without any error messages or unexpected prompts. The installation itself gave no indication of what was about to happen on the first launch.

The First Launch Problem

Opening the PWA for the first time after installation is where the issue appeared. The application was not fully functional. The language could not be changed, which was the first sign something was wrong, and beyond that the interface was largely unresponsive. Tapping on elements produced no reaction. The app was open but not working.

A full restart of the PWA was needed to resolve it. I closed the app, reopened it from the home screen, and on the second launch everything worked as expected. The language settings were accessible, the interface responded correctly, and the experience from that point forward was comparable to the browser version.o

The restart fixed it completely and the issue did not recur during any subsequent session. So functionally, once you know that a restart solves the first-launch problem, it is a manageable one. The concern is what a first-time user does when they open an app that appears frozen. Most will not think to restart it. Most will assume something is wrong with the platform and move on. The full behaviour is captured in the PWA navigation screen recording.

Performance After the Restart

Once the PWA was running correctly, the experience was consistent with the browser version of the site. Navigation between sections was smooth, the interface adapted well to the Pro Max screen, and all the main features were accessible and responsive. Promotional banners loaded and worked correctly. The games lobby was organised and accessible without any additional loading delays.

Games in the App

Slots loaded and ran correctly within the PWA. There was no additional overhead compared to playing in the browser, and the game interfaces scaled properly to the phone screen. The same issues that appeared during gameplay on the website, the Diamond Supercharge 3×5 error and the 36 Coins restart, are platform-level problems rather than PWA-specific ones. The PWA itself did not introduce any additional instability.

The Cashier Inside the App

The cashier was accessible within the PWA and I used it to submit my withdrawal request without needing to switch to the browser. The deposit experience, with its Mastercard fee issues, is a platform-level problem that exists in both environments. The Revolut deposit that eventually worked did so cleanly, and the withdrawal submission through the app was equally straightforward.

Should You Use the PWA?

After the first-launch problem is behind you, yes. The Alawin PWA delivers a reliable and well-optimised mobile experience. Navigation is smooth, games run correctly, and financial operations work from within the app. The practical advice for new users is simple: if the app seems unresponsive when you first open it, close it and reopen it. The second launch will work. From there, the experience is genuinely good.
The first-launch issue is something Alawin needs to fix. It is not a complicated problem in terms of its visible impact, but the impression it creates on a new user’s first interaction with the mobile app is exactly the wrong one. A restart prompt or a cleaner initialisation process would solve it immediately.

When I review a casino, I don't rely on casino-provided content or demo accounts. I deposit my own money, play through the platform as any real user would, and report exactly what I find - good or bad. Deposit fees, verification requirements, withdrawal speed, gameplay, mobile app reliability - I test all of it firsthand before writing a single word.
